More Tips For Keeping Your Paintball Marker Like New
If you've stayed up to date on our previous blogs, then you already know how to properly clean your paintball gun and how to lubricate your paintball gun. Cleaning and lubricating your marker are key for keeping it in good condition, but there are a couple more things that you should do to keep it working like new:
- Replace your o-rings when necessary- Your o-rings are what keep the air in your marker where it is supposed to be, and they are typically located wherever air passes through and a couple pieces of metal are connected. If your marker has a faulty o-ring, you are likely to notice a hissing sound or your marker may not work as it should. If this happens, visually inspect your o-rings, and look out for any nicks or signs of wear. Be sure to read your manual to find out how to safely replace your o-rings.
- Regularly change out your batteries- If your marker is chopping your Paintballs or not working properly, a low battery may be to blame. Most markers will typically use a 9-volt battery, and it is a good idea to keep one with you at all times, just in case. After all, there is nothing worse than having to sit on the sidelines when all of your buddies are playing a game due to a dead battery.
No one wants to end up with a marker that won't work well for them, but luckily, with a little know-how and elbow grease, it is easy to keep your marker working like new!
